Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.
The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.
A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
