Reports indicate that beloved stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson will reprise their iconic roles in the next chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Production is currently underway.
The duo will once again portray Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the characters they made famous. It is believed their appearance will take the form of a future-set scene, as the original saga concluded with their characters settled into family life.

Sunrise on the Reaping is based upon a recent book by series creator Suzanne Collins. It serves as the second prequel film after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Once again is Francis Lawrence, who was behind most of the previous films in the series.
The film's story are set in the years leading up to the first Hunger Games, spotlighting a young Haymitch Abernathy. Haymitch, later known as Katniss's mentor, is featured as a tribute in the notorious 50th Hunger Games.
