Barça Ready for Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month at the stadium. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
